1) WHAT IS SELVA GIN?

Selva Gin is Colombia's first London Dry gin made in the traditional English style but using Colombian ingredients. It is distilled in Cartagena on the Caribbean coast of Colombia.

2) WHERE IS SELVA GIN MADE?

​

Selva Gin is produced in Cartagena, Bolívar on Colombia's Caribbean coast but using ingredients from all over Colombia.

3) WHAT BOTANICALS ARE USED IN SELVA GIN?

​

Selva Gin uses the best quality juniper imported from Bulgaria but the rest of the ingredients come from within Colombia. The citrus element is provided by Limón Mandarino (a type of native calamansi) from Boyacá; the body is enhanced by raw, fermented cacao, the unique floral and fruity element comes from the corozo, which is a palm fruit that is only found in Colombia and Nicaragua. Traditionally the corozo is cooked and the juice used to drink mixed with sugar and water or sometimes turned into a kind of wine.

4) IF IT'S COLOMBIAN, HOW CAN IT BE A LONDON DRY?

​

London Dry refers not to the location of the distillery but to a style of gin that is distilled only once with botanicals and without any artificial flavourings, sugars or infusions of any kind after distillation. Only pure, neutral pH water is allowed to reduce the gin to the desired strength. London Dry is the gin purist's preferred style of gin that takes its name from the style of gin traditionally found in England's capital but it can be made anywhere in the world.

5) WHERE IS SELVA GIN AVAILABLE?

At the moment Selva Gin is only available within Colombia.
